SP’s needed – Casual Marking at SCU and Casual Tutor needed in Coffs Harbour

We have received the following request from Genevieve Wong at SCU-

Casual Marking

I am currently looking for casual markers for SPCH3004 – Intervention of Adult Acquired Speech and Language Disorders. Please let me know if you are available and interested in taking up any of these opportunities. You don’t have to take on the whole workload, I am happy to be flexible around your availability (e.g., let me know if you can only do an X amount of hours).  Assignment marking has a 5 day turnaround time. Vivas are marked on the allocated day with extra 24 hours to complete associate admin. You will be provided some training as well as marking guides to assist with the marking process.

  1. Assignment 1: 27th March – 2nd April. Motor Speech Case Study. 20-25 hours marking 40-50 papers. (30 mins per paper).
  2. Assignment 2: 10-15th April. Aphasia Case Study. 20-25 hours marking 40-50 papers. (30 mins per paper).
  3. Assessment 3: 20-24th April. Cog-comm + speech / Language Viva. 20-25 direct hours marking 40-50 students. In-person Viva located on the Gold Coast Campus (30 mins direct marking per student + 15 mins associated indirect working/admin time to record marks/rubrics).

Casual Tutors in Coffs Harbour

I am also urgently looking for a casual tutor at Coffs Harbour for SPCH3004 – Intervention of Adult Acquired Speech and Language Disorders. The tutes run from 12-2pm NSW time on a Monday on the 16th and 30th March and 13th April. Please let me know if you know anyone who would be interested and available in taking on these tutes.

Pay: Assignment Marking is paid at the MARII rate ($54.80 ph). Viva marking is paid at the PHA rate ($82.20 ph). You will be paid for the training at the Other rate ($54.80). Pay scales are detailed here: Microsoft Word – CAS ACAD salary rates 07.10.2025.docx
