Please see the attached flyer for a special art exhibition being planned as part of the ASSBI 50th Conference in Melbourne, from 6–8 May 2027.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from people living with brain injury who may like to contribute an artwork. The aim is to feature 50 artworks as part of ASSBI’s 50th anniversary and to showcase a range of lived experience, perspectives and creative styles.
At this stage, this is simply an expression of interest. Final artwork guidelines and parameters will be sent to interested artists once details are confirmed.
We would love to hear from:
- people living with brain injury
- occupational therapists and other clinicians
- rehabilitation services
- ABI community groups and peer networks
- anyone who may know someone interested in contributing
We are hoping for a variety of artwork, including painting, drawing, photography, collage, mixed media, craft, pottery and other small 3D pieces. Because the artwork will need to be transported to Melbourne, large or heavy pieces may not be suitable.
