- Recent research describing the impact of aphasia on relationships.
- The way in which communication and interactions with others lead to an altered sense of self following aphasia.
- How the relational self changes over time after the onset of aphasia.
Amy has been a speech pathologist for 20 years working with clients in acute, rehabilitation and community settings. She completed a PhD in 2025 focusing on the experience of people with aphasia in close personal relationships and has an interest in the interaction of communication, relationships and mental health.
