This presentation will discuss findings from a qualitative case study conducted at a Queensland hospital exploring the current practice of speech pathologists working with bi/multilingual adults with aphasia. The presentation will describe how speech pathologists deliver services to bi/multilingual adults against a backdrop of limited relevant evidence and resources.

Samantha is a speech pathologist and Senior Lecturer at Griffith University with over 20 years experience across roles as a clinician, tertiary educator and researcher. Samantha’s research explores culturally responsive healthcare, in particular for the vulnerable group of people who experience both communication disability and cultural/linguistic differences.
