Dear Colleague
I am writing to let you know about a subsidised opportunity for eligible speech pathologists to undertake the Counselling Education in Aphasia Rehabilitation (CLEAR) professional development course.
Thanks to funding from the Victorian Department of Health as part of their Public Health and Wellbeing Plan priority of improving mental wellbeing, subsidised places are available in each of the eight scheduled courses, starting weekly from 24 February 2025. The course fee for eligible participants is $99, significantly reduced from the usual rate of $495.
The CLEAR course is delivered entirely online over 8 weeks and is specifically designed for speech pathologists supporting individuals with post-stroke aphasia and their families. It offers 14 hours of self-paced learning materials with a live workshop (3.5 hours), held in week 7.
Speech pathologists will be eligible for the subsidised fee if they:
- Work in Victorian state-funded services (e.g., public or community health) and
- Are qualified as speech pathologists.
To register, visit the course website, select your preferred start date, and use the code CLEAR_25_DH at checkout to access the discounted rate. Speech pathologists who do not meet the eligibility criteria are welcome to register at the full course fee of $495.
If you have any questions or require further information about the course, please do not hesitate to contact me at J.Sekhon@latrobe.edu.au and for registration inquiries and group booking, please contact latrobeprofessional@latrobe.edu.au.
Please circulate this information to Victorian speech pathology colleagues and your networks as relevant.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Jas
