We are Kim Beesley, aphasia advocate and Secretary of the Australian Aphasia Association, and Professor Miranda Rose, Director of the Centre for Research Excellence in Aphasia Recovery and Rehabilitation (Aphasia CRE).
On Friday 15th November , we will run a seminar at La Trobe University in Melbourne during the Centre for Research Excellence in Aphasia Recovery and Rehabilitation celebration, this is a communicatively accessible / aphasia friendly day. Where do you think the gaps are?
- We would like people with aphasia and their families/friends to tell us about gaps in aphasia rehabilitation and support. What is missing? What should be developed?
- We are also interested in what research you think needs to be done about aphasia.
- We will summarise your opinions and present the summary to the audience at the seminar on November 15th at La Trobe University.

Thank you for helping us understand the important gaps in services and support for people with aphasia. We hope this summary helps health professionals to make changes to their services and researchers to do research that matters to people living with aphasia.
