Position Vacant – Speech Pathologist, Melbourne

University of Melbourne is seeking a speech pathologist to assist research in the UPLIFT stroke recovery and rehabilitation trial 

UPLIFT is an MRFF funded stroke recovery trial in upper limb and aphasia recovery- find out more about the trial here 

Role type: Part Time (0.5 FTE) Fixed term for 12 months

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to stroke research projects, with a focus on the MRFF funded national UPLIFT stroke recovery trial.
  • Coordinate participant recruitment, including screening, scheduling assessments, and conducting intervention sessions, including the delivery of  aphasia therapy.
  • Manage various participant data types in line with research standards, ensuring accurate data entry and checking.
  • Deliver training and support to trial staff undertaking aphasia intervention.
  • Actively participate in the REPAIR research group, engage in learning and career development, and contribute to community and professional activities related to the discipline and research area.
