Aphasia in Action: From Evidence to Everyday Practice, one-day professional development workshop

Queensland Aphasia Research Centre (QARC) is excited to host the Aphasia in Action: From Evidence to Everyday Practice, one-day professional development workshop on Friday 16 October 2026 at the UQ Herston Campus, Brisbane.

Designed for speech pathologists working with people with aphasia, this practical workshop will provide an overview of recent evidence in aphasia rehabilitation and focus on translating research into everyday clinical practice.

Participants will develop practical skills in:
• Goal setting and clinical planning
• Delivery of evidence-based aphasia therapies
• Communication Partner Training
• Using technology in aphasia management
The workshop will also incorporate the lived experience of people with aphasia, providing valuable insights to inform person-centred practice.

Workshop details
• Date: Friday 16 October 2026
• Location: Mayne Medical Building, UQ Herston Campus, Herston. Queensland
• Cost: $250 (includes catering and workshop materials)
Places are limited to support an interactive learning experience.
